Aufgaben

In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of vessel hull structures and floating offshore units. You will develop engineering solutions that meet high standards of safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and classification society requirements.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to projects throughout various phases, including concept development, detailed engineering, construction support, and modifications of existing assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design calculations and finite element analyses (FEA) for vessel hull structures and floating offshore units.
  • Develop practical and efficient structural solutions in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with classification society rules and international regulations.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
  • Support project planning and ensure timely delivery of engineering activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and third-party organizations where required.
  • Support construction and fabrication activities, including resolving technical queries during the shipyard phase.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and engineering best practices.

Anforderungen

  • BSc or MSc degree in Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design and analysis of vessel hull structures, marine, or offshore projects.
  • Proven experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and proficiency in FEMAP or similar FEA software.
  • Strong knowledge of hull structural design, strength, fatigue, and buckling assessments.
  • Experience working with classification society rules and international standards (e.g. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas).
  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and coordinating technical interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Shipyard construction, fabrication, or construction support experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally when required.
