A Senior Process Engineer with at least 10 years’ experience is required by a global offshore organization in the Netherlands. The role will be focused on new FPSO builds and is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Process Engineer with upstream oil & gas experience to join this organization at the start of multiple new contracts. As the Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for the delivery and assurance of the process engineering / design across the full project scope and to verify that these requirements are carried throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases of the Project.

Tasks

  • Develop P&ID, equipment datasheets, instrument datasheets, cause & effect diagrams, HP/LP interface studies (process safeguarding documentation)
  • Review all relevant technical documents submitted and monitor all process engineering activities performed by suppliers.
  • Interface management between related engineering disciplines such as: Piping, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Safety & Loss Prevention.
  • Participate in process engineering design assurance activities such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL Assessments.
  • Prepare process control philosophies, calculations and simulations.
  • Provide technical responses to relevant parties relating to technical Queries and Requests for Information.
  • Perform technical audits, reviews etc. and ensure all engineering activities are in line with the relevant international standards/codes/procedures.
  • Monitor, coach and development of less experienced engineers


Job requirements

  • At least 10 years relevant experience in upstream oil & gas (preferably FPSO or offshore platforms)
  • MSc or BSc in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of international standards such as API, ISO, ASME, IEC etc.
  • Knowledge of simulation software’s such as HYSYS, UniSim or steady-state
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (Written & Spoken)
  • Experience in engineering and design of offshore oil and gas production facilities
