In the role of SENIOR Contracts Engineer, you are integral to our client's contracts team, overseeing and directing primary contract activities for diverse projects. Your duties entail close collaboration with the Project Team and other relevant departments.

Tasks

As SENIOR Contracts Engineer, specific tasks include:

  • Efficiently handling and administering all subcontracting activities related to different projects, ensuring alignment with the Company Management System (CMS) for timely, high-quality, and budget-conscious outcomes.
  • Contributing to the formulation of subcontracting strategies.
  • Crafting subcontracting strategies that align with the objectives of each projects.
  • Taking the lead as the Contracts Engineer on larger projects.
  • Managing the entire process, from issuing invitations to tender to evaluating proposals, finalizing contract awards, and overseeing contract administration through to closure.
  • Assessing and negotiating commercial and contractual aspects, alongside coordinating the technical evaluation of received tenders.
  • Leading various meetings, such as tender clarification meetings, tender board meetings, kick-off meetings, and commercial meetings.

Job requirements

We are looking for SENIOR Contracts Engineer with wealth of experience, who possesses solid work ethics, maintains a professional level of attention to detail, and demonstrates clear commercial awareness. Additionally, he must have/be:

  •  A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree holder in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in a contracting environment within the construction, engineering, oil & gas industries, preferably acquired internationally.
  • Advantageous experience in managing a team of contractors.
  • Knowledgeable in major re-measurable and lump sum EPC(IC) contracts.
  • Proactive approach to the role with a demonstrated ability to add value consistently.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to undertake short-term overseas business trips and potentially longer-term assignments.
