Work Preparation Chief

We are seeking for a Work Preparation Chief in North Germany to assist in the completion of one of the latest and largest luxury cruise vessels. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the biggest shipyards. For this position, preparation of material packages, BoMs, assembly support and assembly documents and planning check will be your main responsibility.

 

Tasks

  • Creation of material packages (based on bill of materials) and management of drawings;
  • Creation and provision of production documents (internal/external) using CAD/CAM and PDM systems;
  • Generation of order and work packages in coordination with assembly planning;
  • Execution of material disposition (material call-off);
  • Pre- and post-calculation of planned values (quantity structures, target times, etc.);
  • Recording disruptions and errors from production and providing feedback/forwarding to the responsible parties;
  • Tracking deadlines for the contents of work packages (supplier parts, materials, tools, etc.);
  • Elaboration of complex areas such as collision checks, installation sequences, consideration of special circumstances during assembly, etc.

Job requirements

  • At least a three-year technical vocational training and several years of professional experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to travel on business;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written German & English;
  • Team & communication skills. Commitment, flexibility and resilience.
