As a Structural Engineer, your main responsibility is to handle the construction drawings, arrangements, and calculations for superyachts. This involves working closely throughout the design and engineering phases to ensure the vessel meets all legal, client, and quality standards. Tasks

  • Developing 2D scantling plan drawings, including calculations, for the construction of superyachts.
  • Creating construction arrangements and conducting Longitudinal strength calculations to ensure structural integrity.
  • Providing guidance to subcontractors on FEA Global Strength works related to yacht construction.
  • Performing FEA calculations for integrating equipment into the yacht's structural design, such as stabilizers and azimuthing thrusters (optional but beneficial).
  • Utilizing software such as Acad, Multiframe, NX, Rhino, Ansys, and SSC software for design and analysis purposes.
  • Collaborating throughout the design and engineering process to ensure compliance with statutory, non-statutory, and client requirements.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Shipbuilding or a related field is required.
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant working experience in yachtbuilding industry.
  • Experience in performing FEA calculations on the integration of equipment in the structural design of the yacht.
  • Knowledge in following software: Acad, Multiframe, NX, Rhino, Ansys and SSC software.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Must possess EU citizenship.
