This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the largest German shipbuilding powerhouses in Northwest Germany. We are closely working with our client to urgently recruit for Automation Engineers.

As part of the Electrical Engineering Team you will beresponsible for the creatrion of the electrical and automation infrastructure for the vessel.

Tasks

  • Serving as a technical point of contact/specialist for the manufacturing department (e.g., laser center, pipe center) regarding assigned tasks.
  • Analyzing and developing processes in various manufacturing areas and their interfaces, as well as cross-functional processes.
  • Evaluating development proposals.
  • Planning, specifying, and developing/designing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems, as well as IT systems.
  • Developing/improving maintenance concepts related to specific topics, such as systematic analysis and process development to increase equipment availability.
  • Managing and assigning the development and design of equipment.
  • Systematically and sustainably implementing the aforementioned equipment.
  • Coordinating designated projects in the production areas, aimed at increasing productivity, process development, optimization, or stabilization.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary and, if applicable, cross-departmental projects and project teams.
  • Conducting statistical process control related to the assigned tasks, such as developing and evaluating key performance indicators.
  • Facilitating technical discussions and conducting training related to the assigned tasks.
  • Supporting apprentices and interns.
  • Flexibly working in other areas of the shipyard as required.

Job requirements

 

  • State-certified technician, bachelor's, or master's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, specializing in production or manufacturing technology.
  • Substantial work experience in the field.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated dedication, flexibility, and ability to handle pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • EU Citizenship
