HVAC Design and Coordination Engineer

We are thrilled to maintain our professional collaboration with our partner who designs and manufactures Air Conditioning Systems for cruise liners, passenger vessels, and specialized vessels, aiming to recruit an HVAC Design Engineer with design experience to join a team of Project Engineers within the HVAC field. 

Based in Hamburg, Germany, you will be assigned to and assist complex and challenging projects and provide project management and cordinate interfaces internally and externally.

Tasks

  • Complex design of HVAC-R systems and components of the air conditioning system;
  • Professional support of the inhouse detail designers and external designers; 
  • Interactions with design engineering companies, owners, and classification societies;
  • Occasional travel to shipbuilding yards in North Germany or Finland;
  • There is a 50% home office option, with a minimum of two days in the office. Newly hired individuals may need to spend more time in the office initially.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of Design engineering experience within HVAC systems in shipbuilding is ideal;
  • Experience in supervising a team of designers in the air conditioning ventilation in the maritime industry;
  • Strong communication skills in English are vital, as there are many interfaces with shipyards and other internal departments;
  • The ideal candidate in this role has proven to be a problem solver and would possess advanced Cadmatic knowledge;
  • Eligibility to work in Germany without requiring client's sponsorship is a MUST.
