Naval Architecture
As a Naval Architect, you'll work on cutting-edge analysis and innovative designs for FPSOs. You'll collaborate with various disciplines, ensuring compliance with class and client requirements while prioritizing cost-efficiency and safety. Your responsibilities include conducting hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and structural analyses throughout all phases of FPSO design, from concept to operational support. Communication with stakeholders, reporting progress, and addressing technical concerns are key aspects of the role. Flexibility for travel and on-site activities may be required.

Tasks

  • Responsible for delivering naval engineering work within project timelines and budgets.
  • Design and conduct hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and structural analyses for FPSOs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and draftsmen within and outside the Naval & Marine section.
  • Report progress, setbacks, and technical concerns to the Lead Engineer and Section Head.
  • Communicate and respond to queries from various stakeholders including Site, Client, Certifying Authority, and Subcontractors.
  • Perform activities abroad or on-site at shipyards when necessary.

 

Job requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering.
  • Have 4 to 8 years of experience in the offshore industry.
  • Demonstrate experience or affinity with hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, finite element, and fatigue analysis.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as VBA, Matlab, or Python.
  • Have a good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • EU CITIZENSHIP!
