For one of our renowned engineering clients located in the South of Holland, we are looking for a Lead Engineer, experienced in the design of heavy deck equipment.
As Lead Engineer, you will be involved from the beginning of the projects, upon receiving the request from the clients from the technical sales managers. Based on your estimation (work, hours, etc.) you will prepare budgets and plans. 
In concert with the department manager, the Lead Engineer selects the right Team and starts working on the projects.

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the entire design and for the Team during the project, while cooperating with other departments on a daily basis, and managing the relationship with the clients.

Tasks

As Lead Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing estimations, budgets and planning
  • Making the design and concepts (modelling and calculating) with CAD software
  • Leading your team of designers and engineers
  • Monitoring and discussing the progress with the department manager and your clients

Job requirements

As Lead Engineer you need to have:

  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant other education)
  • Previous experience within the design and concept of heavy equipment, preferably on complex projects (cable lay, pipe lay)
  • Previous experience with FEM, Ansys and Solid Edge
  • Experience with all types of calculations (strength, mechanical, etc.)
  • Fluency in English (Dutch would be an advantage)
  • EU citizenship or valid Dutch working Visa
