Middle Point Selections is Middle Point’s specialist executive search label for specialist, senior and management positions within the maritime sector, engineering and technical management.
The label was created from the conviction that executive search requires a different approach from secondment. Whereas secondment can involve presenting professionals for various suitable assignments, a search focuses on one specific position, one organisation and one clear objective: finding the professional who truly fits.
That focus requires specialist market knowledge, a personal approach and consultants who can dedicate themselves fully to the search.

Middle Point Selections is being built by Maarten van Haren and Aleksandra Popova. Aleksandra brings many years of recruitment experience and knows both the German market and the maritime domain, as well as Electrical & Automation, from the inside. Drawing on her experience and network, she focuses on identifying and personally approaching professionals who are often not actively looking for their next step.
The collaboration came about at a natural moment. Maarten had been considering for some time how to position executive search as a separate label within Middle Point. When Aleksandra indicated that she was ready for a next step and also had the ambition to build something new, the two ideas came together.
