Project Controller

As a Project Controller you work closely with the project and line organization of Feadship/Royal van Lent Shipyard. This mainly concerns newly built full-custom superyachts. Cost control and planning are therefore very important aspects in this type of project.

It is your job as a Project Controller to ask critical questions about the financial risks and to properly map, value and minimize them. You try to improve and optimize the financial performance of projects. You also carry out financial checks and you analyze future-oriented. You advise solicited and unsolicited.

In addition, you provide appropriate information that contributes most to good project management in the phase the project is in. You are able to convert data into insightful control information for project management and the board. You also use this information to proactively advise the project leader and to jointly ensure that the status and risks of the projects are and remain transparent and manageable. It is also important to have an affinity with (maritime) technology, which is addressed in most aspects of our production process 

You report to the Senior Project Controller.

In summary, the activities are:

• Project control: cost calculations and control, financial forecasts; reporting and monitoring, cash flow management;
• Process control and innovation;
• Budgeting, budget monitoring and active cost management;
• Monitor risk profile and claim overview of projects;
• Reporting and presentation of the financial status of the projects.

You will work within an enthusiastic Finance team within Royal Van Lent Shipyard. Your place of work is Amsterdam or Kaag, depending on the projects you are working on. There is room for hybrid working.

• HBO/WO thinking level;
• Affinity with yacht or shipbuilding and/or project-driven (production) organizations;
• Highly developed analytical and problem solving capabilities;
• Convincing, fact-based and you stand by your opinion;
• Focused on achieving results together;
