Tasks

Join our client's Mechanical Engineering team and play an important role in the realization of some of the world's most exclusive superyachts. As a Project Engineer / Work Preparator, you will support Project Leaders and Engineers by coordinating technical preparations, managing engineering data, and ensuring production receives accurate and complete documentation for a smooth build process.

Tasks

  • Support the Project Leader in the technical preparation and execution of mechanical engineering projects.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain technical documentation and engineering information.
  • Maintain material data and engineering information within the ERP system.
  • Prepare complete and accurate engineering documentation for production.
  • Support Engineers with mechanical engineering-related technical questions throughout the project.
  • Coordinate engineering activities between Mechanical Engineering, Production, and other internal departments to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor the timely completion of engineering preparations to keep production on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and continuously improving engineering environment

Job requirements

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the European Union.
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc/HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project engineering, work preparation, or mechanical engineering within the yacht building industry (mandatory).
  • Experience coordinating engineering activities and preparing technical documentation for production.
  • Knowledge of CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), or Siemens NX is strongly preferred; experience with ERP systems and AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a structured and proactive approach to work.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.

Conditions

  • Gross annual salary between € 55.000,- and € 65.000,- depending on experience.
  • Assistance with relocation, visa applications, housing advice, and general support.
  • Eligibility for the Dutch 30% ruling for qualifying expats.
  • 27 days of paid holidays, + 13 extra paid ADV days and paid national holidays
