Tasks

  • Translate client requests into concepts, estimations, and proposals for commercial team consideration.
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain oversight of project planning, budgets, and engineering progress, ensuring alignment with client expectations and departmental goals.
  • Direct engineering efforts related to vessel lay-outs, stability, weight, and hydrodynamical calculations for optimal hull and ship structures.
  • Coordinate communication and interactions with class approval organizations such as DNV, Bureau Veritas, or Lloyds for compliance and approvals.

Job requirements

  • MSc degree in Naval Architecture, Maritime Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering within the maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in various stages of engineering including concept and basic design, FEA analyses, and 3D/2D modeling.
  • Familiarity with class approval authorities, rules, and regulations governing the maritime sector.
  • Proactive approach to project management and excellent writing and communication skills in both English.
