We at Middle Point are filled with immense pride to announce our official partnership with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij (KNRM), the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution. As a company with deep connections to the maritime world, we understand the crucial importance of safety at sea. The KNRM, with its unwavering dedication, has been a beacon of hope and safety on Dutch waters for nearly two centuries, and we're honoured to now be considered a "Reder" (supporter) in their noble mission.

Who is the KNRM?

Founded in 1824, the KNRM is a volunteer-based organization devoted to saving lives both at sea and on the vast inland waterways of the Netherlands. Their network of 45 rescue stations, staffed by over 1,400 skilled volunteers, stands ready 24/7 to respond to any maritime emergency. They operate a specialised fleet of rescue boats, perfectly engineered to tackle the challenges of the North Sea and the waters beyond.

The selfless volunteers risk their own lives to help those in need. From rescuing capsized vessels and aiding in medical emergencies to searching tirelessly for people lost at sea, they exemplify courage and compassion. Their commitment to emergency prevention through education and safety programs are important and commendable measures to continuously make our waters safer for everyone.

Why We Support the KNRM

Middle Point's values align seamlessly with the KNRM's mission. Safety is paramount in our industry, and we hold a deep respect for the individuals who put themselves in harm's way to protect others. Supporting them is not simply an act of charity; it's an investment in the well-being of countless mariners, recreational boaters, and anyone who finds themselves in a vulnerable situation on the water.

The KNRM relies heavily on donations to maintain its lifesaving capabilities. Their courage and expertise deserve all the support we can offer. By becoming a "Reder," we're playing our part in ensuring they remain equipped with the resources and cutting-edge technology needed to navigate treacherous conditions and bring those in distress home safely.

A Partnership Built on Shared Values

Middle Point is committed to fostering a long-term and impactful relationship with the KNRM. We firmly believe supporting a cause as vital as this reflects the best of who we are as a company. It's a source of immense pride to know that our contributions will help ensure the brave volunteers can continue their lifesaving work. Together, we can make a real difference in the safety and security of our maritime community.
