Tasks

We are looking for an engineer with experience in hull construction, structural arrangements, and 3D design who can help develop and integrate construction arrangements for some of the world's most exclusive superyachts. You'll work on arrangement drawings, 3D models, and the integration of equipment such as platforms, gangways, and cranes, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering and production teams.

Duties:

  • Coordinate your assigned construction engineering scope throughout the project.
  • Prepare and maintain construction engineering deliverables in line with project requirements.
  • Assess the manufacturability and technical feasibility of construction solutions.
  • Ensure engineering work complies with project specifications, Class and Flag regulations, and internal quality standards.
  • Identify technical bottlenecks and support the Project Engineer by proposing practical solutions.
  • Report missing information, technical issues, and project risks to the Project Engineer.
  • Work closely with Lead Engineers, Project Engineers, production teams, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review engineering output together with Production and incorporate feedback where needed.
  • Deliver your assigned engineering work on time and according to project planning.
  • Contribute to the successful integration of construction elements into the final yacht design.

Job requirements

  • MBO or Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in shipbuilding or yacht building within a construction or design engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of hull construction, structural arrangements, and production processes.
  • Experience with arrangement drawings and 3D modelling.
  • Knowledge of manufacturability and production-oriented engineering.
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter is highly preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Cadmatic is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with classification society and flag state regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional command of the English language.

Conditions

  • An attractive annual salary of € 52.000 – € 65.000 based on your experience
  • 30% tax ruling for the first five years (for positions in the Netherlands)
  • At least 25 days of paid holidays + ADV days
  • Compensation for commuting costs depending on your preferred means of transportation - own car / public transport / bike
  • Assistance with your relocation, i.e. registration, legal and fiscal matters, and housing advice
  • Language course compensation up to €500 so that you have a good kickstart
