Tasks

As a Team Lead - Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I), you oversee a team of engineers, ensuring solutions align with internal and external requirements. You standardize best practices, tooling, and methods for efficiency. In sales, you serve as a consultant, contributing to scope, work structure, and planning. During projects, you act as a technical consultant, ensuring discipline works meet quality standards. Your team supports the delivery of equipment, including cranes and systems. You assist in departmental development, utilizing your people skills to engage, coach, and support team members. While not directly involved in technical tasks, you often provide technical assistance. You contribute to the department's strategic direction, defining procedures and future developments.

 

In your role of Team Lead E&I, you will:

  • Execute department strategy and annual plan within the engineering team.
  • Supervise and develop engineers in the assigned discipline.
  • Conduct yearly and mid-term appraisals, managing holidays and sickness registration.
  • Maintain optimal resource allocation planning for workload.
  • Ensure standardization and improvement of work methods and procedures for efficiency.
  • Contribute to department strategy, objectives, and prioritization.
  • Actively network with stakeholders.
  • Foster a unified way of work within the discipline and, when possible, cross-discipline.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture aligned with the organization's mission and values.

Job requirements

Team Lead - Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I), what you need to have:

  • BSc in a relevant discipline, combined with previous work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in coaching team members, combined with an interest in people development and methods. 
  • Previous experience as Technical consultant, combined with the ability to create project scopes, work structures, and plans.
  • Proficiency in English (Dutch is desirable
