Mechanical Technical Inspector

As as Mechanical Technical Inspector, your main responsibilities include:

• Manage the technical projects including  planning and budget control
• Organisation and control of repair and maintenance (R&M) of the assigned vessel(s), in close co-ordination with the Technical Superintendents
• Keep technical documentation and history about vessel and equipment up to date
• Liaise with flag state and classification society as required
• Comply to the company's vessel management system, rules and regulation of flag state, classification societies, IMO and other relevant bodies
• Stimulate and propose the use of new sustainable technologies and prepare investment proposals
• Promote and support continuous improvement activities within the Technical Department
• Daily technical management of the assets assigned

A strong preference will be given to candidates with:

• Currently based and  have experience working in The Netherlands; must have existing rights to work in The Netherlands.
• BSc/MSc degree in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of pertinent experience within the offshore, dredging, construction, or shipbuilding sector.
• Proficiency in the rules and regulations of classification agencies and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Openness to travel, with an estimated frequency of 20% of the time.
