Join our client's team and play a key role in delivering some of the world's most exclusive superyachts. As a Project Leader – Mechanical Engineering, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through production, coordinating technical teams and engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, production-ready solutions that meet planning, quality, and technical standards throughout the entire yacht building process.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects throughout the complete yacht building process.
  • Coordinate the engineering of propulsion, engine room, piping, and hotel systems.
  • Manage the mechanical engineering team and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation and production drawings.
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, suppliers, and classification societies.
  • Monitor project planning, budget, quality, and engineering progress.
  • Support the project from detailed design through construction and final handover.

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and project leadership.
  • Experience within yacht building is mandatory.
  • Proven experience leading engineering projects in the maritime or yacht building industry.
  • Experience with CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), or Siemens NX is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering processes, and production methods.
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Proactive, organized, quality-driven, and capable of working in multidisciplinary teams.

Voorwaarden

  • Gross annual salary between € 55.000,- and € 72.000,- depending on experience.
  • Assistance with relocation, visa applications, housing advice, and general support.
  • Eligibility for the Dutch 30% ruling for qualifying expats.
  • 27 days of paid holidays, + 13 extra paid ADV days and paid national holidays
  • Compensation for commuting costs depending on your preferred means of transportation - own car / public transport / bike
  • Working from home allowance
  • Budget for Dutch language course so that you have a good kickstart
